Position: We are in search of an AWS Cloud Engineer/Architect to join our engineering team. You will play crucial role leading digital transformation projects across a variety of industries. We are a remote-first company that primarily operates on EST.
Type: Contract-to-hire
What you’ll achieve:
- Migrating infrastructure and applications from legacy systems to cloud environments.
- Delivering high availability and support for infrastructure and applications.
- Implementing monitoring and providing incident response.
- Designing redundant, secure systems to prevent outages.
- Perform lifecycle management for supported platforms, including technical refresh planning, capacity upgrades, and software product updates.
- Establish metrics to monitor the health/utilization of AWS resources on a wide scale, using CloudWatch and other services or scripts.
- Analyze cost and usage across cloud environments and establish tagging mechanisms for allocating costs to different business units.
- Consulting with clients to create their cloud strategy.
About you:
- Passionate about applying cloud technologies to solving real-world business problems.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Cloud Operations/DevOps/SRE.
- 3+ years of AWS experience e.g. VPC, ELB/ALB, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent working knowledge on Linux or any Unix Operating System.
- Knowledge in Monitoring Tools and Service Management.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including routing, subnetting and load balancing.
